Junior Staff Accountant

ZP Better Together is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to support our Finance team. This role administers Concur and external accounting team processes and supports internal accounts payable, expense administration, assigned tax portal work, recurring audit support, and limited month-end close responsibilities. You will bring strong attention to detail, practical accounting experience, sound judgment, strong Excel skills, and a helpful, professional approach to working with employees, vendors, and Finance partners.

What you'll do:

• Administer Concur expense-management processes and routine system workflows.
• Administer company accounts-payable processes, coordinate vendor setup, provide supporting documentation, and track requests and exceptions through completion.
• Prepare supplier invoices for processing by the third party accounting team by reviewing supporting documentation, confirming required approvals, assigning appropriate coding, and approving invoices for processing.
• Administer assigned tax portals and support external tax professionals by providing requested information, uploading supporting documentation, and maintaining portal records and confirmations.
• Submit tax filings prepared by external tax professionals and complete approved tax-payment tasks under established review and approval procedures.
• Provide recurring audit support by gathering and organizing accounting records, responding to documentation requests, reconciling assigned activity, and researching routine discrepancies; provide limited month-end close support as assigned.
• Communicate with employees, vendors, the third party accounting team, auditors, external tax professionals, and Finance colleagues to obtain information and resolve routine questions.
• Maintain accurate, complete records and protect confidential financial and employee information.

What you'll bring:

• 0–5 years of practical accounting experience.
• An accounting degree is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to review and organize financial information accurately.
• Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
• Strong communication and people skills with a service-oriented approach.

Experience with Sage Intacct, Concur, third party accounting and expense software, accounts-payable processes, or audit support is helpful. Extensive tax preparation experience is not required; role-specific tax portal, filing, and payment procedures may be learned after hire.
