Sr. Human Resources Business Partner Manager

Responsibilities & Qualifications The Sr. Human Resources Manager serves as a direct consultative partner and manages core HR activities/processes for the Global R&D function. This role will serve as a trusted partner and will help implement HR solutions that enable high performing teams, support organizational culture, and improve employee engagement.The opportunity is uniquely developed to enhance, support and delivery to the business and enable functions for organizational growth. The work will require the ability to lead activities independently while also staying connected with the broader HR teams to ensure business support is aligned with larger strategy for R&D.ResponsibilitiesHigh level of engagement with leadership and employees of the assigned business functionGain understanding of the strategy, goals and initiatives of the function and provide advisement on HR related activities; proactively identify, support and offer solutions to problemsEstablish regular connection points with leadership and all people managers, focusing on high-touch engagementLiaise with HR COEs to support business with HR processes, solutions, and implementation of projects/new processesDrive high performing cultureTalent AcquisitionActive involvement with the business functions to support effective selection of talentEngage with talent acquisition/recruiters to enable their management of open requisitionsConduct interviews and support hiring managers with interviewing skillsConnect internal talent to open roles as appropriate, managing communication with partnersIdentify needs for and manage programs for interns/co-opsTalent Development & Capability BuildingActive engagement with leadership to gain detailed understanding talent landscape and partner with talent management colleagues to provide solutionsSupport talent review and succession planning processes by providing guidance to assigned business function leadersIdentify capability building needsSupport employees with individual development plans and career guidance; connecting them to talent management initiatives as needed (360s, DACs, learning sessions, etc)Employee Relations, Engagement & CultureProvide guidance for managers on onboarding activities for new hires and develop support process for new hire engagementConduct exit interviews, identify needed interventions with the goal of reducing turnoverHandle employee complaints, issue resolution, mediation, and investigations; escalate to appropriate collaborators when neededSupport employee engagement survey administration and coordinate with functions on action planning follow-upEmployee point of contact for various employment matters such as payroll and benefits; connecting to appropriate CoE resourcesActive involvement as a member of the corporate Culture Champion team; plan and facilitate culture activities for new hires, interventions with teams as needed, and serve as a corporate liaison to the global culture champion team HR Operational ProcessesGuide managers in assigned business functions through HR processes, ensuring their understanding, and providing seamless supportComplete performance management and compensation planning cycles, providing training, guidance, and facilitation of processes with managers and employeesEnsure understanding of various HR systems and guide/direct employees and managers through self-service activitiesIdentify and implement process improvements with the goal of improving speed of serviceBack-up (of HR Coordinator) for HR data administration; audit and review to ensure data qualityMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or other related field5-8 years of experience in HR generalist or business partner capacityExperience partnering with business leaders across various functions or business units as a strategic partnerExperience managing HR activities and processes including performance management, talent acquisition, compensation planning, etcAbility to communicate effectively with all organizational levels, including senior leadershipFoundational knowledge of employment laws and other employment compliance practicesAbility to balance tasks in a fast-paced environment across broad range of HR domainsStrong facilitation/presentation skillsAbility to manage tasks independently while still operating in a collaborative, team-based environmentConsultative and problem-solving mentalityPreferred QualificationsExperience as an HR partner to Corporate functionsExposure to global businessHR certification(s)Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
