Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care. This role involves delivering care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The registered nurse will also guide patient and family education while managing activities of other nursing personnel, ensuring adherence to professional nursing standards.

Shift Information

Shift Schedule: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 15:15)
Mandatory Requirements: Weekend, on-call, and some holiday shifts.

Qualifications

Active California Nursing License required at the time of submission.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and educational qualifications necessary to meet licensure requirements.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are mandatory.
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology is required.
Previous experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neurology is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care by following established nursing protocols.
Conduct thorough assessments and evaluate patient needs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Oversee and coordinate the nursing activities within the unit.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Daily Patient Census: Approximately 4 patients
Number of Rooms: 2
Number of Beds: 5
Unit Specialization: Angiography and Interventional Radiology for diagnostic and interventional procedures
Facility Type: Stroke certified, trauma center

Additional Requirements

ICU experience is mandatory.
Adherence to strict dress code and grooming standards.
