We are seeking a certified School Psychologist to provide on-site psychological services to PK–12 students across multiple schools on a military installation in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The psychologist supports students' academic achievement, behavioral health, and emotional well-being, and partners with school staff, families, and community resources to foster safe, positive, and supportive learning environments. This is a term position tied to the school-year calendar.

Schedule and Location

• On-site service delivery, Monday–Friday, 0800–1530, on days when school is in session.
• Time is divided among all schools on the installation, per a schedule set after start.
• Approximately 133 workdays / ~931 hours during the base school-year period.
• Place of performance: Fort Bragg (Fort Liberty), NC.

Major Duties

• Consultation and Collaboration: Confer with school staff on students' behavioral characteristics and psychological factors affecting the school environment. Coordinate with community and military medical, psychological, and psychiatric personnel to exchange information on shared concerns, including crisis intervention. Collaborate with teachers and specialists on interventions for students experiencing academic, social, or personal difficulties.
• Prevention/Intervention Programs: Help develop, implement, or consult on school-wide prevention and intervention programs (e.g., conflict resolution, social skills, anti-bullying) that promote a positive, safe school climate.
• Student Assistance Teams: Advise teachers and staff on strategies for students with academic, social, or behavioral concerns; assist with accommodation/modification plans; and recommend appropriate intervention strategies to support student success across settings.
• Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling on issues such as academic success, social skills, anger management, stress management, and behavior control.
• Assessment: Administer, interpret, and evaluate individual psychological measurements (intellectual/cognitive, social, achievement, and personality) and provide recommendations for intervention strategies based on results.
• Professional Learning: Participate with district and school personnel in activities that increase understanding of child development, learning strategies, behavior management, and appropriate use of assessment data.

Other Responsibilities

• Implement safety and security procedures and contribute to a school climate conducive to learning, achievement, and citizenship.
• Participate in professional development, committee activities, and systemwide assessment programs as required.
• Inform school administration of educational deficiencies, critical issues, and emergencies.
• May supervise students in settings such as outside activities, lunchroom, and bus arrivals/departures.
• Attend required meetings (including virtual meetings) and support meeting documentation as directed.
• Maintain the quality and accuracy of all services; protect the confidentiality of personal information; adhere to the applicable Standards of Conduct.
• Attire: business casual appropriate for a PK–12 school environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in school psychology or a state license in school psychology. Coursework must have included a practicum in school psychology.
• Proficiency in English and basic computer skills.
• A clean criminal background check less than one year old, with a copy provided within five (5) days after start.
• Ability to pass a Tier 1 background investigation with state criminal history record (childcare) checks, including an FBI fingerprint-based check, consistent with requirements for personnel who work with children under 18.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering psychological services in a PK–12 school setting.
• Experience with individualized education program (IEP) processes and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
• Familiarity with working in a military-connected or highly mobile student population.

Work Environment and Conditions

• Work is performed on a secured military installation; personnel must obtain and display installation passes/identification badges and comply with all installation rules, including line-of-sight supervision while in the presence of children.
• Government provides appropriate facilities, an identity badge, and a Common Access Card (CAC) for installation access.
• Replacement personnel must meet or exceed the qualifications and experience of the incumbent, with advance written notice of any personnel change.
