Assistant Project Manager Job Description:

We are seeking an efficient and experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of projects in the window treatment industry . The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring multiple projects progress, ordering material, site visits, taking measurements, following up with stakeholders on the completion or delays of project phases, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project documents and reports . This role offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time Project Manager position .

To be successful as an assistant project manager you should be able to perform any tasks assigned by the project manager in an efficient and timely manner. An assistant project manager should be able to maintain oversight of all project activities, identify any issues, and ensure these are resolved promptly.

Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Communicate with general contractors, vendors, and our team about project needs, goals, and timelines.
• Support the planning, coordination, and management of projects from award through closeout.
• Handle project billing, submittals, estimates, material orders, field measurements, and punch-out walks.
• Schedule and coordinate installations and project meetings.
• Track and report project progress, flag issues early, and help resolve them.
• Attend WIP meetings to review active projects and new work in the pipeline.
• Complete tasks assigned by the President efficiently and on time.

Physical Requirements:

• Climb ladders up to 6 feet as needed on jobsites.

Assistant Project Manager Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Degree in business management/construction or a related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of previous experience in project management or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and project management software.
• Highly organized , able to multitask , and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
• OSHA 30 and CPR certifications are preferred but not required .
