Job Description
Our organization is looking for a full-time BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to become a part of our esteemed and expanding practice. The role entails three clinical days each week at our Cancer Care facility in Burnsville, along with one outreach day, shared on-call duties, and rounding responsibilities. There are also opportunities available for research and teaching.
The Cancer Program within our organization is a significant community practice, featuring 13 locations throughout the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area and western Wisconsin. Our team consists of 33 oncologists and 16 advanced practice clinicians. We provide a diverse array of clinical trials through our Early Phase Trials Program (EPTP), in addition to industry-sponsored Phase 2/3 trials and investigator-initiated studies focused on supportive care. We proudly collaborate with the NCORP's Metro-Minnesota Community Oncology Research Consortium and are among the few community oncology programs with an EPTP, currently offering over 20 active Phase 1 trials for our patients.
Our oncology team is composed of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, certified oncology nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists, chaplains, music therapists, specialists in integrated therapies, palliative care providers, social workers, oncology psychotherapists, and genetics counselors. Clinicians within our cancer program have the chance to engage in research through our dynamic and expanding clinical trials program, which includes early-phase clinical trials. We also offer Principal Investigator opportunities for those passionate about research. Our comprehensive cancer program is accredited by both the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Quality Oncology Practice Initiative, providing a full range of preventive, diagnostic, treatment, and support services.
