Position Summary

The Lead Handyman / Residential Remodeling Technician plays an essential role in delivering the exceptional customer experience BRYJO is known for. This position is responsible for completing warranty work, punch list items, homeowner service requests, and small remodeling projects while maintaining BRYJO's high standards of craftsmanship, communication, and professionalism. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded remodeling professional who enjoys troubleshooting, takes ownership of their work, communicates confidently with homeowners, and can work independently while representing BRYJO in customers' homes.

Finish Carpentry & Repairs

• Trim installation and repair
• Baseboard and molding installation
• Door adjustments and hardware installation
• Cabinet adjustments and repairs
• Shelving and storage installation
• Minor framing repairs
• Window and door adjustments

Drywall & Painting

• Drywall repairs
• Texture matching
• Spackling and finishing
• Interior touch-up painting
• Caulking and sealing

Flooring & Tile

• Minor flooring repairs
• Luxury vinyl plank repairs
• Tile replacement
• Grout repair
• Transition installation
• Surface protection during construction

Plumbing & Electrical

• Minor plumbing repairs
• Faucet replacement
• Toilet repairs
• Garbage disposal replacement
• Fixture installation
• Light fixture replacement
• Ceiling fan installation
• Switch and outlet replacement

Exterior Maintenance & Repairs

• Gutter cleaning
• Exterior caulking
• Weatherproofing
• Minor siding repairs
• Pressure washing
• Minor roofing repairs (preferred)
• Exterior punch list work

General Construction

• Demolition
• Jobsite cleanup
• Appliance installation
• Minor concrete patching
• Minor masonry repairs
• Routine maintenance
• Warranty service calls
• Punch list completion
• Material pickups as needed
• Maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment

Qualifications

• Five or more years of residential remodeling, handyman, maintenance, carpentry, or construction experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of residential construction methods.
• Experience with carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, tile, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and determine practical solutions.
• Comfortable working directly with homeowners.
• Ability to read work orders and complete punch lists efficiently.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Compensation & Benefits

Full-Time Position

Guaranteed 40 Hours Per Week

Hourly Pay: $26.00 to $29.00 per hour , depending on experience, overall skill set, and final trade evaluation.

• Report to our Plano office each morning in your personal vehicle. Once you clock in, you'll drive a fully insured, fully fueled company van to each jobsite. Your travel during the workday is on company time.
