Packaging TechnicianThe Packaging Technician is responsible for preparing completed door components for shipment to customers. This role is crucial in ensuring all required parts, hardware, and documentation are accurately packaged and included with each order. Success in this position requires exceptional attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to quality.ResponsibilitiesVerify all door components, hardware, and accessories are present before packaging.Review packing lists, work orders, and shipping documentation to ensure order accuracy.Package door components according to company standards and customer requirements.Inspect parts for damage, defects, or missing items prior to shipment.Organize and load multiple components into shipping boxes or containers.Label and prepare packages for shipping and delivery.Maintain accurate records of completed orders and packaged materials.Report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged components to supervisors.Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.Follow all quality standards and safety procedures.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, shipping, or warehouse environments preferred.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to read packing lists, work orders, and basic documentation.Good organizational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Comfortable standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.Dependable with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with inventory control, packaging, or order fulfillment.Familiarity with manufacturing and shipping processes.Basic computer and documentation skills.Ability to identify missing or incorrect parts before shipment.Strong problem-solving abilities and quality-focused mindset.Join a team where quality and customer satisfaction are top priorities. The workspace is kept clean, organized, and safe, adhering to all quality standards and safety procedures.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belton, MO.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
