Project Manager

Texas based construction and CMAR services company specializing in a variety of projects–including commercial buildings, underground utilities, and waterworks facilities. This will be a 1-year project in rural Haskell, Texas with extra incentives listed below. Your Role with the Company: The WWTP Project Manager is responsible for the overall execution, management, and completion of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plant construction projects. This role oversees the project from pre-construction through commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery remains on schedule, within budget, and compliant with strict environmental and safety standards. The PM serves as the primary point of contact for the client (municipalities/utilities), engineering firms, and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities Project Execution & Budget Management: Formulate, monitor, and manage the comprehensive project budget ($10M–$100M+ typical range). Maintain full P&L (Profit and Loss) responsibility, tracking labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Contract & Change Order Management: Review, negotiate, and execute contracts with owners, subcontractors, and vendors. Identify project scope changes, draft change orders, and defend claims aggressively and professionally. Scheduling & Lifecycle Planning: Establish and maintain the master project schedule (typically utilizing Primavera P6), integrating complex sequences such as bypass pumping, structural concrete pours, mechanical installations, and system integration. Stakeholder & Client Relations: Act as the lead liaison between the general contractor, municipal owners, third‑party engineering consultants, and regulatory agencies (e.g., EPA, state environmental depts). Procurement & Vendor Coordination: Oversee the procurement of long‑lead specialized WWTP equipment (e.g., clarifiers, digesters, aeration systems, pumps, and SCADA systems) and ensure integration with civil structures. Commissioning & Start‑Up: Lead the coordination of plant commissioning, water‑testing, equipment startup, and final functional testing before handing operations over to the municipality. Safety & Quality Assurance: Ensure the project team strictly adheres to OSHA standards, site‑specific safety plans, and stringent environmental mitigation protocols (such as storm‑water pollution prevention).
