Additional Job Description West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek a General Internal Medicine physician qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. This position will focus primarily on outpatient care with a small academic inpatient component for the Division of General Internal Medicine. You will collaborate with a team of over 25 experienced internists. All subspecialties are present and available for consultation within the clinic and hospital. Opportunities exist in clinical research. Physicians with a special interest in global health may participate in our rapidly expanding global health residency track. Duties Provide excellent patient care. Be actively involved in the teaching of medical students and residents. For appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank, sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program. Qualifications MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted state medical license. Completed an accredited internal medicine residency program at the time of appointment. For Associate Professor or Professor rank: demonstrate proven leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high‑impact journals. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
