Our six-doctor hospital is looking for a compassionate, motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Why You'll Love Working Here Four-day work week with rotating weekends Collaborative team that genuinely enjoys working together Opportunities to expand your skills and potentially move into surgery Advanced Equipment And Services, Including Diagnostic abdominal ultrasound Underwater treadmill rehabilitation Weight loss and arthritis management programs Post-surgical rehabilitation services Digital radiography Digital dental radiography Surgical cautery equipment Idexx in-house laboratory Cornerstone software What You'll Be Doing Running appointments and building client relationships (with potential to move into surgery at some point) Educating clients and reviewing treatment plans Performing venipuncture and wellness blood work collection Placing IV catheters Assisting with patient treatments and nursing care Supporting doctors and technicians in providing exceptional medicine What We're Looking For Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience Comfortable with venipuncture and IV catheter placement Experience monitoring anesthesia preferred Strong communication and client education skills Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and grow Passion for providing compassionate patient care Hospital Hours Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Sunday: Closed If you're looking for a hospital where you can continue developing your skills, work alongside an experienced team, and make a difference in the lives of pets and their families every day, we'd love to meet you. Ensure a Safe and Clean Environment: You'll take pride in maintaining the hospital, performing clinic upkeep and equipment maintenance to uphold our high standards of care. What You'll Bring to the Team A High School Diploma or equivalent. A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast‑paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure. Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.
