Medical Assistant - CMA / MA

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a family medicine setting. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage patient interactions, perform clinical procedures, and assist with various clinic operations to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Take and record vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and assist providers during procedures.
Administer injections, wound care, and perform physicals and well-child exams.
Manage electronic medical records, schedule appointments, and communicate test results to patients.
Support clinic operations by setting up for minor procedures and maintaining patient flow.
Provide patient education and ensure compliance with safety protocols and vaccination requirements.
Communicate effectively with patients and team members, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid CMA certification and AHA BLS card.
Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, including EMR proficiency.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Strong computer skills, good communication, and a solid work ethic.
Experience with pediatrics, adult patients, vaccines, and orthopedic knowledge is a plus.
