Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract role, running from August 2026 through May 2027, focuses on delivering specialized instruction in a Life Skills/Self-Contained classroom, serving K-12 students in an onsite setting. You'll be instrumental in fostering growth and independence for learners who benefit from tailored, compassionate support.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Special Education Certification (K-12)
- Texas Generalist License (K-12)
- Previous experience in a Life Skills or special education classroom strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet a wide range of needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct instruction and support to K-12 students in a self-contained Life Skills classroom
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Modify curriculum and utilize a variety of teaching techniques to address unique student goals
- Track and report student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
- Work closely with parents, therapists, and administrators to ensure holistic student success
- Maintain a positive, engaging, and structured classroom environment
