1st Shift Assembler

Shift Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, plus overtime as needed. Position Summary Assemble different components or parts of semi-finished or finished goods, in order to prepare a product to be ready to begin the shipping process, and ultimately complete client orders. Essential Functions Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastens parts and subassemblies. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Maintains the area clean and organized. Provides a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task. Works with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifies supervisor to obtain additional resources. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follows manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshoots malfunctions; calls for repairs. Inputs and maintains data in ERP computer system/Global. Completes paperwork/job sheets required for the area. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Assists in other areas as needed. Requirements High school diploma or GED. 2‑3 years of assembly experience. Solid background working with sheet metal. Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance. Demonstrated aptitude for math, problem‑solving, and computer skills. Good color discernment and color vision. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Ability to configure bend allowance for sheet material (not a requirement, but a plus). Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of engineered specified tolerances. Basic computer skills and the ability to read and follow instructions. Must maintain excellent attendance, and expect to work overtime if needed. Environmental Conditions Humidity level may be elevated during the summer months. Exposure to loud noise, at times. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently. Able to stand on your feet for at least ten hours a day. #J-18808-Ljbffr
