Rack Safety Field Auditor

The Field surveyor/technician plays a critical role in supporting Damotech's rack repair and engineering operations. Our innovative solutions are trusted by numerous Fortune 500 companies across North America.Key ResponsibilitiesField Data Collection & InspectionConduct on-site surveys of pallet rack systems at distribution centers and industrial warehousesCollect accurate data including measurements, photos, and damage assessments using iPad and other mobile toolsDocument rack damage following company standards and communicate findings clearly for quotingCommunication & CollaborationInterface with internal departments, including estimating, engineering, and sales teams to ensure survey data is processed efficientlyAct as the bridge between field operations and back-office functions by submitting complete, high-quality survey documentationCoordinate with Business Development Managers to support dealer and customer opportunitiesTechnology & DocumentationMaintain accurate records of all site visits and customer interactions within the CRM (e.g., HubSpot)Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and survey-specific templates for documentationEnsure all surveys are submitted in a timely manner to support the quoting pipelineTravel & Field WorkTravel throughout the territoryWork independently in warehouse environments, adhering to site safety rules and company protocolRequirements2+ years of fieldwork or site inspection experience in industrial services, construction, or warehousingComfortable working in active warehouse environments with a strong attention to detailProficiency with iPads, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and cloud-based CRM toolsAbility to work independently, manage schedules, and prioritize competing site visitsStrong written and verbal communication skillsValid driver's license requiredCompetencies & SkillsDetail-Oriented: Consistently delivers accurate, thorough survey dataField Independence: Works autonomously and navigates warehouse sites with confidenceTechnologically Proficient: Embraces mobile tools, CRM systems, and digital documentationProblem-Solving: Assesses rack damage logically and recommends follow-up actionsProfessional Demeanor: Represents Damotech professionally with clients and partnersTeam-Oriented: Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teamsWork Environment & Physical DemandsField-based role with significant time spent in active warehouse environmentsMust be able to walk large facilities and access lower racking components for inspectionMay require lifting up to 25 lbs, crouching, or kneeling during surveysPPE provided; safety-first mindset requiredBenefitsHealth, dental, vision & life insuranceCar allowance401(k)J-18808-Ljbffr
