Your Responsibilities as PT

• Perform PT exam to evaluate physical activity limitations
• Create a plan that sets a goal and completion date
• Equip patients with PT intervention techniques/exercises ; track progress
• Provide education to patients on techniques for the continuation of care
• Examine and evaluate new patients
• Establish a diagnosis of condition or conditions and their impact on activity
• Establish a plan goal and time frame
• Prescribe intervention techniques and exercises
• Measure and track intervention effectiveness
• Educate the patient on continuing care

Your Required Skills, Education, Licensure as PT

• Able to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation-setting treatment plans
• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
• Must be passionate about helping patients who have vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall risk issues
• Graduation from an accredited PT program and current PT license in TX
• Must be able to carry out and progress a skilled treatment plan in outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation setting
• Must be self-motivated with a willingness to learn
• Passion for working with vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall-risk patient population
• Prefer at least one year working in outpatient neurological or orthopedic center, or previous vestibular rehab experience

Your Responsibilities as PTA

• Administers physical therapy treatments to patients, working under direction of and as an assistant to Physical Therapist
• Responsible of comprehensive patient care
• Observes patients during treatments and compiles data on patients’ responses to treatments and progress and reports orally or in writing to Physical Therapist.
• Fits patients for, adjusts, and trains patients in use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
• Confers with members of physical therapy staff and other health team members, individually and in conference, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.
• Measures patient’s range-of-joint motion, length and girth of body parts, and vital signs to determine effects of specific treatments or to assist Physical Therapist to compile data for patient evaluations.
• Monitors and supervises Rehab Techs.
