This part-time position involves using germicidal detergents and cleaning supplies to sanitize various areas, tools, and equipment, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas including walls, ceilings, windows, furniture, equipment, sinks, mirrors, doors, lights, toilets, showers, shelves, cupboards, vents, water fountains, and garbage cans.
• Handle removal of garbage and soiled linens with care and attention to safety.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks efficiently while maintaining awareness of patient safety and comfort.
• Work under close supervision, completing standardized tasks quietly and promptly.
• Be flexible to train and rotate between multiple district facilities such as clinics, hospital, and administrative offices.
• Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, especially in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Requirements and Skills

• Ability to learn and adhere to established policies and procedures.
• Strong reading and comprehension skills for written and verbal instructions.
• Effective communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Competence in operating common cleaning tools and equipment.

Physical Requirements

This role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 35 pounds, and occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Normal vision, hearing, and speech capabilities are necessary, with or without corrective devices.
