Mechanical Assembler (Entry Level)

Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will perform mechanical assembly on large generators. You will utilize a variety of hand and power tools, read and interpret work instructions or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and perform maintenance repairs on generators. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn manufacturer-specific software to diagnose engine and control system problems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical assembly on large generators.
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret work instructions, SOPs, or blueprints.
• Perform maintenance repairs on generators.
• Learn and use manufacturer-specific software for diagnosing engine and control system problems.

Essential Skills:

• 1+ years of experience in mechanical assembly.
• 1+ years of experience with overhead crane operations.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, work instructions, or blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with micrometers, scales, pressure gauges, torque wrenches, measuring tapes, and electric meters (volts, ohms, amps).
• Experience with blueprints or engineer drawings.
• Experienced in automotive technician, diesel technician, motor assembly, HVAC, or similar trades.

Work Environment:

Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with opportunities on both first and second shifts. The first shift operates from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with some weekend work as needed. The second shift runs from 4 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as required. There are nine openings for the first shift and twenty openings for the second shift.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cypress, TX.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
