RN - PACU

Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

The RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe and provides care through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and collaboration with other health care team members. The RN is expected to perform their duties according to established standards of care and the core values established by the Division of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing assessments/data collection, focusing on the physiological, psychological, and cognitive status of patients.
• Provide post-operative recovery care for patients undergoing orthopedic, neurosurgery, general, thoracic, podiatry, and GI procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Schedule

This position works a shift from 01:00 PM to 09:30 PM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in New York.
• Mandatory health prerequisites: MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, TB Test, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza Vaccine.
