Allied Technician - Pharmacist

Pharmacist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inpatient pharmacy, including practical experience with the EPIC system. The position involves variable shifts, predominantly during nighttime, with a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee inpatient pharmacy operations.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services, ensuring safe and effective medication use.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Prepare and dispense medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Participate in training and mentoring pharmacy technicians and interns.
• Provide coverage during holiday shifts, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Schedule

The position offers a variable shift schedule of 4 x 10-hour workdays, primarily during the night from 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM. On occasion, day shifts may be required from 10:15 AM to 8:45 PM. The schedule typically features 8 days on and 6 days off, which includes weekends.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in the state of practice is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy is required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is preferred.
• Minimum of one year of inpatient pharmacy experience is required.
• Experience with the EPIC software system is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required.

Preferred Skills

• Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
