Compensation: $29.85 an hour, overtime eligible

Job Duties:

• Make repairs involving painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC.
• Position will handle or assist preventative maintenance of hotel facilities.
• Be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect our guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
• To act as quickly and responsibly as possible to return the building to its normal operating status.
• To inform Engineering Management of any such emergencies.
• Must be able to read, log, track and interpret reading from meters, gauges and other measuring units.
• To maintain a thorough log of each day's activities and problems that occur and to ensure this information is passed on to other shifts.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed by Engineering Management.
• To work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized.
• To serve as otherwise directed or needed to help maintain the effective and efficient operation of the hotel.
• Looking for someone able to understand and handle guest inquiries and provide responses.
• Must maintain professional demeanor and appearance under pressure while working on projects.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours shift, able to constantly lift/move up to 10 pounds. Frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds might be necessary.

Required: 1 year: Use hand and power tools safely, 1 year: Painting and general repairs, 1 year: HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), 1 year: Plumbing, 1 year: Electrical system, 1 year: Building maintenance, facilities management and construction

Licenses & Certifications:

Preferred: CPR
