Furniture Delivery Driver

Job Description

The Driver will be responsible for managing local freight delivery operations primarily using a straight truck. This role involves planning and executing daily routes, ensuring the safe handling and delivery of furniture, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will focus on safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service in all delivery activities.

Responsibilities

Operate straight trucks safely and efficiently for local freight delivery
Plan and optimize daily delivery routes
Handle cargo loading, unloading, and securement with care, specializing in furniture delivery
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience in trucking or freight delivery
Class A Commercial Driver’s License
Strong route planning and time management skills
Experience with customer service and safety awareness
Familiarity with furniture assembly
