Cardiovascular Surgical Coordinator

Job Summary:


Express Health Care Miami is currently hiring a Cardiovascular Surgical Coordinator for a local medical practice in the Miami Dade area. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in interventional radiology, cardiology, or vascular surgery, and is skilled in insurance authorization, patient scheduling, and clinical documentation. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position with no weekends or evenings.


Requirements:

• Manage incoming referrals, schedule patients promptly, and track all scheduled, pending, and completed procedures using Excel and eClinicalWorks (ECW); adjust schedules based on physician availability or emergent clinical needs
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, collect deductibles, obtain prior authorizations for procedures, and notify patients of financial responsibilities; maintain accurate documentation of all insurance interactions
• Apply medical terminology and ICD-10 codes as needed; maintain up-to-date patient records and procedure documentation in full compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered customer service; answer phone calls, assist front and back-office teams, and prepare monthly and quarterly reports related to procedure volume and scheduling metrics

Schedule & Pay:

• Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | No weekends or evenings | Full Time

Qualifications:

• 1-2+ years of hands-on experience in interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, or vascular surgery required; eClinicalWorks (ECW) or Athena experience required
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification, deductibles, prior authorization processes, and medical terminology with proficiency in basic ICD-10 coding
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills; high-level attention to detail, time management, and task prioritization
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism in patient interactions; strong confidentiality, compliance, and team collaboration skills
