Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

About the Role
This position interacts with carriers, the Shipping Office, and warehouse personnel to ensure the efficient flow of orders to customers in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution environment.

What You'll Do

• Promote a safety culture and awareness within your area of responsibility
• Process order pick lists in SAP
• Allocate orders in WMS in a timely fashion
• Allocate and sort orders based on specific customer and carrier requirements
• Identify product issues and communicate them to the Inventory Control Group
• Resolve and document substitution and potential order cut issues with Inventory Control, Corporate customer service, and planners
• Print bills of lading
• Coordinate all carrier appointments using Blue Jay and update WMS/SAP systems as needed
• Manage the customer service window — load assignment, paperwork, bills of lading, and issue resolution with multiple carriers
• Coordinate rush orders with Corporate customer service, planners, and warehouse personnel
• Resolve transportation issues with carriers and the Corporate transportation department
• Bill orders daily upon shipment verification from the warehouse
• Process shipping documents, keeping detailed records and maintaining an effective filing system
• Prioritize orders for picking
• Run and publish reports as necessary
• Actively participate in process improvement teams and continuous improvement efforts
• Coordinate inbounds with the Old Fort facility and sister facilities using FourKites and other communication tools
• Work as a team with all functions of the Distribution Center
• Take on other projects and duties as assigned

What You'll Need
One of the following:

• High school diploma/GED + 3 years of related experience, OR
• 2 years of post-secondary education in a related discipline + 1 year of related experience

Also required:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including clear verbal and written English
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, stay calm under pressure, and adapt to changing schedules
• Strong customer service skills, including experience dealing with external carriers
• Strong computer skills (SAP, WMS, and MS Office Suite)
• In-depth knowledge of distribution operations, including equipment, materials, and workflow

Nice to Have

• Associate degree or vocational certificate
• 1–3 years of proven experience in a high-volume distribution environment
