Part-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC)

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare has immediate openings for part-time licensed therapists in Northern New Jersey to provide in-home and center-based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders. Key Responsibilities:

• Providing individual in-home therapy, group therapy sessions, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions.
• Performing bio-psycho-social assessments is a plus.
• Provide coping and social skills, anger management and reduce risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression.
• Work to improve youth and caretaker decision-making skills to manage in-home behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate effectively and consistently with the child family treatment team and/or professionals from other disciplines who also work to support the youth and family.
• Submit all required documentation and paperwork within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes, etc.)
• Attend monthly meetings and submit mandatory clinical documentation.
• Must be able to complete or willing to train for bio-psycho-social assessments.

Requirements:

• Must have a master's degree in counseling, social work, family therapy, or related behavioral health field
• Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); candidates with out-of-state licenses may be considered if reciprocity applies
• Has clinical mental health trauma counseling training
• Has some training or willing to complete crisis intervention training
• Has post-internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders with clinical experience
• Has experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments.
• Has experience in various counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and trauma response
• Knows how to use the DSM-V for assessments and diagnosis
• Must be available for a minimum 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 12noon through 8pm. Weekend flexibility is a plus.
• Must maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
• Must have experience providing positive behavior supports.
• Must have prior experience working with children ages 3-20, and working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license
• Must pass all state and federal background checks
• A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.
• Must submit resume plus copies of master's degree, with a copy of NJ or certification or license.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor H-1B or other employment visas at this time.
• State reciprocity considered, but candidate must be within 25–30 minutes of service areas
