Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in San Luis Obispo, CA. Travel assignment starts 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,541 to $2,628 per week. This night-shift role is 3x12-hour shifts in a hospital setting. This is a travel temporary assignment with no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
- Collect relevant data pertaining to the patient’s health or situation and document findings
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues
- Develop a care plan with prescribed interventions to attain outcomes
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment
- Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust plans as needed
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide care and education
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of team members
- Provide health information and learning opportunities to patients, families, and the treatment team

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in California
- Ability to work nights; willingness to cover 3x12-hour shifts
- Experience in labor and delivery or a related obstetric setting is preferred
- Strong patient assessment, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Able to perform essential duties of the role in the labor and delivery unit
