Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties across a high-volume operating room environment averaging 35–50 cases per day with turnover expectations under 20 minutes
• Provide direct 1:1 patient care across multiple surgical service lines including cardiac/peripheral vascular, neurology, orthopedic trauma, robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, and transplants
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci robotic systems, Stealth neuro-navigation technology, and Synthes/Stryker orthopedic trauma instrumentation
• Respond to trauma cases as required within a Level I trauma center environment, maintaining readiness across dedicated trauma-reserved OR suites
• Float across multiple campuses as assigned and participate in weekend call coverage from end of shift Friday through Monday morning
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• Minimum 24 months of current operating room experience, with hospital or medical center experience prioritized
• Circulating/operating room experience required
• Demonstrated experience in General surgery, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases
• Trauma Level II experience required
• EPIC EMR experience within the previous 3 years
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the previous 15 months; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience highly preferred
• Trauma Level I experience highly preferred
• Additional surgical service line experience in neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, and ENT
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
