As a member of the Infrastructure Engineering team you’ll play a key role in scaling and evolving our SAAS technology crucial to the success of Company. As the MySQL database engineer for Company you will lead design of database systems to deliver high standards in reliability, performance and extensible data storage. You will apply your MySQL database knowledge to solve Mysql and Innodb problems, enhance master/slave performance, deliver transparent schema upgrades and maximum database scalability.

Job Responsibility:

• Enhance DB schema designs, SQL queries and DB functions for application developers
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries and DB functions
• Drive database systems architecture, evaluate and recommend design
• Document and present processes to manage MySQL production systems
• Deliver data integrity, security and data consistency solutions across the Company storage
• Create automated tests for MySQL data storage solutions
• See beyond day to day events and introduce changes to accommodate exponential growth in customer data
• Support production systems operations team in case of crisis

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years of software development experience using LAMP, Java or web technologies
• 3+ years of MySQL database experience, InnoDB engine experience preferred
• Database experience in a SAAS multi tenant production environment
• Deep understanding DB performance, HA, and scalability concepts
• Object-oriented programming using PHP, Python, C++ or Java
• Experience applying automated testing to maintain highest standards of data repository system
• Experience with DB production operations, backup, replication, archiving, schema upgrade and master/slave performance solutions
• Open to new technology and eager to learn
• Familiar with GNU/Linux command line, networking, development tools
• Collaborative personality, multitasking, willing to work with other teams
• Thirst for knowledge, high sense of urgency, attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Science degree

Desirable:

• Formal MySQL training, DBA experience
• Continuent technology experience
• Knowledge of OLAP analytics, Hadoop, Machine Learning, massive scale distributed systems
