Senior Product Design Engineer

Overview Responsible for the design and development of new industrial pump products, components, and assemblies from conception to commercialization. This may include responsibilities for specification development, risk identification/mitigation and development of products using engineering principles that meet customer specifications as well as cost requirements. Effectively lead projects through engineering portion of new product development process to meet development timelines. Mentor and review work of more junior product design engineers and CAD designers. Solve design related problems on released product as required. Responsibilities Design products with sound engineering principles and mathematical modeling to meet technical and commercial requirements. Perform risk analysis on new products. Plan and execute risk mitigation. Provide technical assistance to engineers and other departments for new and existing designs. Lead technical design reviews and DFMEA. Support and participate in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes. Rapid prototype experience a plus. Manage development projects as a project manager through engineering development phase of new product development process. Create and maintain design documentation, and report on project status throughout process with limited supervision. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree (BS Mechanical Engineering) from four-year ABET accredited college or university; and 5+ years operating as a design engineer in a manufacturing company. Rotating equipment and hydraulic design experience a plus. FEA and CFD experience a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
