Overview
Our client, a rapidly growing Childrens and tween knitwear brand is currently looking for a Knitwear Designer Associate to join the team!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Merchandising on design strategy
- Assist with a development of seasonal collections and product lines.
- Conduct color, fabric and market research
- Creating and maintaining tech packs ensuring accuracy throughout
- Shape seasonal design strategies and identify emerging trends
- Conceptualized and present innovative to leadership.
- Assist with creating prints, graphics and CAD’S
- Assist with sketching, CAD'S, and updating line sheets
- Additionally, knowledge of knitwear and sweaters
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in fashion design,
- Proficient in Photoshop, and Illustrator
- 2- 3 year minimum experience
- Ability to create technical sketches and CAD'S
- Strong attention to detail
- Children's, women's, or junior experience is preferred
