St. Francis Hospital – Interquest operates an 8‑bed ICU/IMC unit serving patients 16 years and older. The ICU has a 1:2 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, and the IMC a 1:3 ratio. Nursing staff have opportunities to advance into preceptor, relief charge nurse, clinical coordinator, or other leadership roles. As an RN Clinical Coordinator you will support the unit director/manager by coordinating clinical and departmental activities. You will not serve as a supervisor or manager; instead you serve as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff. Your role includes authorizing work procedures, assigning duties, and shifting charge. Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and ensure high‑quality care delivery to each patient. Act as a vital link between physicians and the patient care team to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Provide input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates. Assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Act as a professional role model for all staff by demonstrating ethical/legal/professional nursing practices. Promote the optimal health, well‑being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. Actively serve on the unit as a registered nurse and may take patient assignments based on unit and patient needs and acuity. Be personally accountable for relationship‑based care, organizational mission, and core values. Job Requirements Education Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Nursing Diploma or by endorsement) required. BSN preferred. Licensure RN license to practice in the state of employment as applicable, required. Nursing specialty certification, preferred. BLS from AHA required. ACLS from AHA required. NIHSS from AHA required. TCAR or TNCC required. Experience Minimum of 1 year of recent direct clinical experience as an ICU registered nurse. Physical Requirements Medium work—exert up to 50 lbs force occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly. Where You'll Work St. Francis Hospital Interquest is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The facility features 10 specialty‑sized operating rooms, a full‑service emergency department, and inpatient and critical care units. The ICU/IMC unit offers a 1:2 nurse‑to‑patient ratio in the ICU and 1:3 in the IMC.
