Tool Room Assistant

POSITION OVERVIEW The Tool Room Assistant supports and documents thecorporate tool room overflow with outside shops, receives completed tool room work, and delivers it tointernalcustomers.This role is also responsible forassistingwith incoming tool room work requests. WHAT YOU’LL DO Document Tool Room measures tracking on spreadsheets. Order custom components from outside machine shops. Create and resolve purchase requisitions for tool room orders. Answer questions about 3D CAD drawings from supply base. Track orders and coordinate with the project management team. Deliver completed work to internal customers. Develop working relationships with suppliers. Work with suppliers for quantity discounts and bulk purchases. Research pricing and availability of components for Engineers and other personnel. Organize and keep track of standard tooling components with tool crib. Other duties as assigned. HOW YOU’LL DO IT Attention to Detail-Ensuring information is complete and accurate; following up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled. Individual Efficiency-Effectively managing time and resources so that individual work is completed efficiently. Problem Solving-Defining a problem, determining the cause, identifying, prioritizing and selecting alternatives for a solution, and implementing a solution. Fostering Teamwork-Building effective partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Communicating Effectively-Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding, taking into account the unique needs of different audiences. Optimizing Work Processes-Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement. Maintaining a high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters. Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace. WHAT TO BRING 2+years of experience working with inventory tracking systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with recordkeeping. Self-motivation. Must be available to work overtime as needed. Valid driver’s license. WHAT WILL HELP Experience operating a stand-up or sit-down lift truck or fork truck. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and pneumatic systems. Experience in AutoCAD and Solidworks.
