Overall Job Summary The Receiver is primarily responsible for inventory control, receiving accuracy, and compliance routines that support store operations. The role executes receiving, inventory adjustment, reconciliation, transfer, buyback/RTV, compliance, and reporting processes while maintaining partnership with the Store Operations Manager. The updated operating model narrows Receiver ownership away from front sidewalk/sidelot presentation and backroom/dock/assembly recovery, which are owned by Operations leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) It is essential that you be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented, as you must be able to fulfill all of the following requirements. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Work scheduled shifts, and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs. Deliver on our promise of Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer. Uncover Customer's Needs & Wants. Recommend Product Solutions. Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer. Deliver Legendary Service and reinforce Leading with Legendary behaviors through Customer engagement, Team Member coaching, and accountability for execution. Use A+ Coaching routines to develop Team Members, improve selling behaviors, and reinforce consistent operating standards. Complete forklift and propane inspections and key propane use as required. Pull waiting OMNI orders in the morning and support BOPIS/OMNI reconciliation routines. Complete BOPIS Reconciliation Report and BODFS Reconciliation Report according to company standards. Receive Direct POs, Mixing Center freight, Bulk Center freight, and DC receiving transfers, including new and open transfers. Receive and key truck, execute truck unload plan, stage totes for Freight Team Leader, and complete Loader Feedback Survey. Stock and tag direct vendor freight, front/sidelot DC freight, and leather footwear according to process standards. Create Fill to Capacity picklists for the Freight Team as assigned. Key inventory adjustments and correct or adjust inventory discrepancies according to company process and Store Operations Manager direction. Review Negative On Hand Report and execute required follow-up. Review and execute buybacks and RTV processes. Check ACT for assigned tasks and complete assigned receiving, inventory, and compliance actions. Key daily defectives, print Summary Report, and submit to the Store Operations Manager. Complete Fire Extinguisher sign off, Biological Cooler rotation, PER review, Battery Program routines, and hazardous waste disposal program requirements. Complete monthly food expiration reviews for Feed/Food and Registers. Check High Dollar List; find and label Rainchecks, BOPIS DC Transfer, and Subscription items. Process UPS/FedEx shipments, freight claims, used oil recycling, and used tires recycling where applicable. Complete Layaway Review, Special Order Review, Raincheck Review, INR Review, RGO Review, Open and New Transfers In Review, and Verify Ship to Store Orders. Partner with the Store Operations Manager on inventory control, compliance, receiving standards, and process follow-up. Operate forklift, baler, cash register/computer, and other equipment as needed; assist customers with loading purchases. Complete all documentation associated with the above job duties accurately and timely. Obtain license or certifications as needed by the business. May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Experience: Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required. Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, you must be able to read, write, and count accurately. Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities Basic computer skills/experience. Basic math skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict. Working Conditions Working environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise. Work shifts vary from one store to another, but generally are no less than 4 hours and may exceed 10 hours Indoor floors and outdoor lots generally are hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.) lighting and temperature are adequate. Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Promote a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers and adhere to Company safety training and guidelines Physical Requirements This position is non-sedentary. It is essential that Team Members have the physical and mental stamina and ability to move throughout the store and outdoor areas quickly and safely. Team members must have the physical and mental ability to perform all of the following tasks (with or without reasonable accommodation): Ability to constantly operate a forklift. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store (e.g. dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register) (forklift and baler requirements do not apply if under the age of 18). Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment (e.g. pallet jack). Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead. Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store. Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders. Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift. Ability to safely access all areas of the store including selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area. Ability to constantly operate store equipment such as computer, cash register, and other store equipment. Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation. Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with team members and customers. Ability to process information / merchandise through the point-of-sale system. Ability to handle and be in contact with birds/poultry. Ability to successfully complete training and certification to dispense propane, and to dispense propane (propane certification and dispensing requirement does not apply if under the age of 18). Ability to successfully complete all required training. Ability to travel as required in support of district needs. Ability to successfully complete all required training and certification.
