Quality Control Technician (Shade Lab)

Our client, a personal care manufacturing company, is looking for a Quality Control Technician to join their team! This role is an Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Oxford, NC office.This role will be 1st Shift, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM.

• Full-Time role
• Pay: $45k-$55K

Responsibilities:

• Organoleptic evaluation of raw materials and shade matching/evaluation of bulk product, finish product and purchased products in accordance with department procedures and Revlon specifications.
• Provide shade disposition and color adjustments based on color comparison to bulk standards in accordance with Standard Process Instructions (SPI). Evaluate pigment dispersion in bulk batches and provide remedial in accordance with Standard Process Instructions (SPI).
• Maintain production standards used for shade evaluation. Enter evaluation, test results and final disposition in SAP. Ships samples of first, second and third production batches to R&D and Product Development. Use, care and calibration of instruments and test equipment to include but not limited to Horbia, Automatic Muller, Hegman Scale, Powder Press and water bath. Works independently with little supervision. Follows Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  

Required Qualifications:

• 0 – 3 years
• Knowledge & Skills Required: Must have good math and organization skills
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Aptitude for color and organoleptic evaluation
• Work independently with minimum supervision
• College degree in a science, technical or related business discipline preferred. In lieu of a degree, relevant experience may substitute for degree.
