Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Vineland, NJ

Contract Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse position in Vineland, NJ — 13-week contract, must hold a current NJ or Compact RN license and valid BLS, NRP, and ACLS. Join a supportive maternity nursing team providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns in southern New Jersey.

• Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery and Postpartum (postpartum couplet care)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580 – $2,720 (contract nursing pay)
• Shift: On-site; weekend and holiday rotation (every other)
• Start Date: June 15, 2026
• Scrub Color: Steel Grey
• RTO: No more than 3 days

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Labor & Delivery Nurse within the last 6 months required
• Postpartum couplet care experience required — experience as a maternity nurse or postpartum RN strongly preferred
• Current New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Valid certifications: BLS, NRP, and ACLS (must be valid at least 30 days after start date)
• Strong assessment, triage, and documentation skills in labor, delivery, and postpartum care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum care for mothers and newborns, including postpartum couplet care
• Monitor and assess maternal and neonatal status throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, pediatric teams, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure safe, evidence-based care
• Educate patients and families on labor processes, delivery expectations, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
• Adhere to hospital protocols, participate in required orientation and training, and maintain high standards of patient safety
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper documentation in accordance with unit policies

Orientation: Full participation in orientation is mandatory. Virtual and in-person sessions will be scheduled and all modules must be completed as instructed. Badge ID must be obtained during orientation.
