Behavior Technician

Buzz ABA is hiring dependable, energetic people to work one-on-one with children with autism as Behavior Technicians during afternoon hours Monday through Friday. No ABA or behavioral health experience is required. If you have worked in retail, customer service, restaurants, hospitality, childcare, camps, recreation, coaching, education, or another people-focused job, we strongly encourage you to apply. A Behavior Technician works directly with children with autism to help them develop important communication, social, play, independence, and daily-living skills. We will teach you the ABA-specific skills you need to succeed. You may be a great fit if you: Enjoy working with children Are patient, positive, energetic, and dependable Communicate well with different types of people Can remain calm when situations become challenging Are comfortable following structured instructions and procedures Take attendance and punctuality seriously Responsibilities: Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and feeding to promote independence and skill development Collect and record behavioural data accurately during therapy sessions to track progress and inform treatment plans Implement individualized behaviour intervention plans based on ABA principles under supervision Support teaching and reinforcement of social, communication, and functional skills tailored to each child's needs Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioural records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards Support the implementation of care plans for children with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disabilities Experience That Transfers Well to This Role We encourage applications from people who have worked as: Retail associates Sales associates Customer service representatives Servers or restaurant employees Hospitality employees Daycare or childcare staff Camp counselors Coaches Recreation staff Paraprofessionals Teacher assistants Nannies or babysitters Prior ABA experience is not required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent At least 18 years old Ability to communicate professionally and reliably Ability to complete required employment and background screening Ability to consistently work scheduled afternoon sessions Comfortable working directly and actively with children Preferred Qualifications: These are helpful, but not required: Retail or customer-service experience Experience working with children Childcare, camp, coaching, education, or recreation experience Interest in psychology, education, healthcare, autism, or child development Previous ABA or RBT experience Work Location: In person/Clinic Based #J-18808-Ljbffr
