Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Description

This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment, and maintaining inventory records. You will play a critical part in the supply chain by ensuring materials, parts, and products are received, stored, and shipped efficiently.

• Support all activities related to inbound shipments, including unloading deliveries from trailers to the dock using a hand truck and/or forklift.
• Handle heavy equipment unloads and segregate inbound material into direct and indirect categories.
• Stage material within the facility to support all external teams.
• Support the Production Control team with material moves in support of quality inspection, putaway actions, and material issues in support of all production teams.
• Provide assistance to employees when preparing outbound parcel and freight shipments through the appropriate Shipment Request form.
• Assist the Shipping & Receiving and Production Control teams with clearing out dunnage and removing empty boxes and crates from the inbound dock.

• Familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets)
• Experience supporting warehouse and production functions within a high-paced organization, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or related industries
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root cause issues, and recommend solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel systems for work instructions creation
• Forklift operation
• Knowledge in shipping and receiving logistics
• Inventory control

• Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sturgis, MI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
