LPN or Certified Medical Assistant - Family Medicine Clinic

Schedule & Compensation Work shift: 8 hours – Day Shifts (United States). Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Compensation: Salary range $17.00 – $29.50 per hour, with sign‑on bonus available. Union position: No. LPN wage: $21.00 – $29.50. MA wage: $17.00 – $25.50. Location The Wahpeton Clinic. Clinic hours Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. No evenings, weekends, or holidays. Full‑time opening for an LPN or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and Medical Assistant (MA) will participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The MA functions within the administration pre‑defined scope of practice guidelines per state location of practice. Responsibilities Provide high‑quality patient care and support in a rural community setting. Assist providers, perform assigned nursing or medical assistant tasks, and execute patient assessments. Educate and communicate with patients and families. Maintain patient records and documentation accurately. Support team‑centered care and meet department competency and certification requirements. Qualifications LPN: Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program. If IV therapy/management is required in North Dakota, must have graduation from an AASPN program that includes IV therapy or completion of an approved IV Therapy course, and possess an unencumbered LPN license with the state nursing board. MA: Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program. Nationally certified or registered as a MA (CMA or RMA). Must meet state registration requirements (e.g., ND MAIII or UAP Registry). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment. Re‑certification as required. Adaptable, reliable, attentive to detail, and team oriented.
