We offer advanced treatments such as nerve-sparing prostate surgery, robotic bladder surgery, innovative immunotherapies, and specialized care for genetic conditions like von Hippel-Lindau disease. Position Overview MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse for its Genitourinary Cancer Center outpatient team. The ideal candidate is a licensed RN with at least two years of nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient setting. Experience with genitourinary (GU) care and related procedures is highly preferred, and oncology experience is a plus. Shift and Location Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (30-minute lunch). Work Location: Texas Medical Center. Salary Salary range: $68,000 - minimum - $105,200 midpoint - $142,500 maximum. Hourly breakdown: minimum $32.69 - midpoint $50.58 - maximum $68.51. Key Functions Participate in daily unit operations to achieve and maintain the financial goals by utilizing all resources effectively and efficiently. Provide quality and fiscally responsible patient care. Proactively anticipate patient and family needs in collaboration with the Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse Leader, and Nurse Manager. Utilize available material resources responsibly for direct patient care. Participate in change initiatives, foster peer relationships, and participate in coaching and mentoring. Comply with regulatory standards. Participate in assessing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of safe and effective patient and family care utilizing evidence-based and empirical outcome measurements. Provide feedback to the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, and Clinical Nurse Leader through the evaluation of performance of clerical and clinical staff. Other duties as assigned. Education Required: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Licensure & Certification Required: Current Texas State Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if working in ASC Post Anesthesia (600761). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if working in ASC Post Anesthesia (600761) or Pediatric & Adolescent Center (113200). Preferred: Oncology Certified Nursing (OCN) or other specialty practice certification. Other Requirements All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
