Job Description:Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this positionThe RoleAs the Director, Time Away from Work Programs, you will lead the strategy, design, governance, and continuous improvement of Fidelity's time away from work programs. Reporting to the Head of Financial and Work Life Benefits, you will partner across Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, business unit capacity planning teams, and external vendors to ensure Fidelity's programs support associates throughout key life events while maintaining operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a positive associate experience.You will serve as a subject matter expert on time away programs, translating business needs, workforce trends, and market practices into program enhancements and strategic recommendations. In this role, you will lead cross-functional initiatives, oversee program governance, and drive the successful implementation and administration of Fidelity's time away from work strategy.The Expertise and Skills you Bring8–10 plus years of experience in benefits, leave administration, HR policy, compliance, or related areas, with increasing responsibility for program strategy and managementStrong knowledge of time away programs, including applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical business solutionsDemonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving program, policy, or process changes from strategy through implementation.Experience influencing stakeholders and building partnerships across HR, Legal, Compliance, and business teamsStrong analytical skills with the ability to use data and insights to identify trends, develop recommendations, and support decision-makingExcellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive results in a dynamic environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience with HRIS, leave management, or benefits administration systems preferredAssist with various benefits projects; and other duties as assignedKey ResponsibilitiesLead the ongoing strategy, design, and enhancement of Fidelity's time away from work programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, associate needs, and market practicesAssess program performance, utilization trends, benchmarking data, legislative developments, and associate feedback to identify opportunities and develop recommendations that support the evolution of Fidelity's programsPartner with HR Shared Services, business unit capacity planning teams, and external vendors to ensure effective program administration and a seamless associate experienceCollaborate with Legal and Compliance partners to monitor regulatory developments and oversee policy updates, governance activities, audits, and risk assessments related to time away programsLead cross-functional projects and program implementations, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring successful execution of policy, process, and system changesEstablish and maintain program documentation and governance practices that promote consistency and compliance across the organizationLeverage data, analytics, and reporting to evaluate program effectiveness, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations to leadershipDevelop communications, training materials, and resources that support associate understanding and effective utilization of time away programsFoster strong relationships across Human Resources and business teams to ensure programs continue to meet evolving workforce and organizational needsThe TeamThis role reports into the Head of Financial and Work Life Benefits.The Benefits team is a small but powerful team within the Human Resources function, and our job is to ensure that associate benefit offerings are delivering value to our associates, their families and Fidelity. We listen to associate feedback, benchmark the competition, and then measure every one of the 50 plus programs for which we are responsible.Fidelity’s Onsite Working ModelFidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues.
