Assistant Store Manager

Your Responsibilities: Create and Lead a Winning Team: Promote a guest-first culture to ensure positive and efficient interactions Guide and empower Shift Managers and team members through coaching and training Set clear expectations and provide timely feedback, leading by example Encourage open communication and teamwork across shifts Ensure Operational Excellence: Support the execution of store strategies to boost sales, guest satisfaction, and profitability Manage inventory levels, vendor relationships, and cash controls Drive promotional execution while ensuring compliance with food service standards Maintain store cleanliness and alignment with RaceTrac brand standards Prioritize Food Safety and Compliance: Conduct regular food quality checks while educating the team on safety standards Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies Maintain necessary documentation for audits and inspections Achieve Results Through Teamwork: Analyze performance reports, identify trends, and implement improvements Assist in managing staffing and scheduling needs in collaboration with the General Manager Provide constructive performance feedback and drive accountability What We Seek: 3-5 years of experience in retail, food service, or restaurant leadership 1+ year of management experience is preferred Strong coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience in high-volume, customer-focused environments Ability to interpret and act upon metrics such as P&L, labor, and sales Essential Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, either completed or ongoing Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks when necessary Ready to obtain and sustain food handler and alcohol server permits (if required) Fuel Your Growth with RaceTrac!
