Social Media Manager

Studio BANAA is a San Francisco-based architecture and interior design studio working primarily on hospitality projects (cafes, restaurants, and wellness spaces) alongside community and non-profit work. We're looking for a social media manager to take full ownership of our presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, and our email newsletter (Mailchimp). This is a hands‑on role: you'll be creating content, writing captions, scheduling and publishing posts, and engaging with our audience, not just advising from the sidelines. This role is based in San Francisco, and you'll need to be local: you'll be shooting short‑form video on site at active projects, conducting interviews with our team and clients, and joining studio walkthroughs in person. Responsibilities Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar across Instagram, LinkedIn, and our newsletter Create and edit posts (static images, carousels, short‑form video/reels) Write and send our monthly newsletter via Mailchimp Write on‑brand captions and manage posting schedule Monitor engagement, respond to comments/DMs, and grow our follower base Track performance metrics and report on what's working Stay current on platform trends and suggest new content formats Shoot short‑form video and photos on site at active projects and studio walkthroughs Conduct interviews with our team, clients, and project partners to turn into content Requirements Based in or near San Francisco and able to attend site visits, shoots, and interviews in person Proven experience managing social media accounts for a business (please share accounts you've grown, with before/after metrics) Comfortable shooting and editing short‑form video on the fly (phone camera skills count) Strong eye for visual content and on‑brand storytelling Comfortable with content creation/editing tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar) Excellent written communication and reliable, consistent availability Nice to Have Experience working with architecture, interior design, hospitality, or non‑profit/community‑focused clients Familiarity with how to make process shots, renderings, and project photography engaging for social Experience writing and managing email newsletters (Mailchimp or similar) Experience with LinkedIn content aimed at B2B/industry audiences #J-18808-Ljbffr
