Job Description Job Summary: Facilitate diverse financial analysis for aschool/unit and assist department management with their financialplanning efforts, budget analysis and monthly reporting. Job-Specific Responsibilities: The Senior Financial Analyst supports the oversight and managementof the day-to-day financial responsibilities of the organizationincluding review of A/P, entering journals, reconciling expensecharges, conducting analysis on both capital and operating budgetsacross all FAS Tubs, asset management, liaising with CampusServices and conducting monthly reporting. This position: Supports the Office of Physical Resources and Planning (OPRP)Finance Team by providing reporting and analysis as neededincluding quarterly closings, flux analysis, monthly budget toactuals and forecasting of O & M and capital projects, journalsand lease payments. Will assist in creating and monitoring the $150M capital and$165M O&M budget by participating in the operating budgetdevelopment process and loading into University & OPRPfinancial systems, capital projects approvals and reporting,financial and ad hoc analysis and reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst works with the Associate Director ofFinance and Budgets to ensure departmental compliance withfinancial policies, procedures and controls requirements; entersjournals and cost transfers, analyzes department budget andbuilding operations budgets, reviews and codes expenditures andassists building managers in maintaining budgets and appropriatelycoding transactions. This position will also support financialmanagement for new initiatives including a major renovation of thecollege houses, FAS Sustainability program and transitioning thedepartment use of university systems such as Brio and B2P. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting;Hybrid schedule: three (3) days on campus (2 days WFH) after 90-dayOrientation & Review and fully up and running. Physical Requirements Sitting and using near vision forreading and computer work for extended periods of time Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience Additional Qualifications and Skills The following qualifications are strongly preferred. MBA or Master's degree in relevant field preferred Strong background and experience with construction projectmanagement, property budget oversight, higher education andnon-profit management. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel andPowerPoint skills Advanced knowledge of budget management, financial analysis andfinancial modeling; working knowledge of accounting principles Experience with financial systems and data query tools Experience with general ledger and general accountingpractices. Strong, demonstrable Excel skills and hands-on experience withanalysis and modeling (e.g., fully versed using pivot tables,VLOOKUP functionality, formulas etc.) Collaborative working style with strong attention to detail andproblem-solving skills. Demonstrated experience with financial systems and data querytools (i.e. Smartview/ Brio). Experience with Oracle financialsystems preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build strong relationships with people at all levelsof the organization. Additional Information Standard Hours/Schedule: 35 hours per week Compensation Range/Rate: The salary will be determinedbased on the position and the candidate’s relevant experience.
