This is an opportunity to work alongside dedicated pediatric specialists in a collaborative children's health environment committed to exceptional patient care.Position SummaryThe Audiologist provides specialized comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services to a diverse linguistic, ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic group of pediatric patients age birth to 21 years in medical center/clinical setting. This is a professional level position that requires clinical skills, data analysis, problem solving, and decision making. The Audiologist serves a large population of patients with multiple disabilities and maintains both internal and external contacts including patient care staff, physicians, and support staff.ResponsibilitiesConducts and interprets diagnostic behavioral testing, auditory brainstem response evaluations, newborn hearing screenings, and hearing technology evaluations using evidence-based practiceRecommends appropriate hearing technology and follows appropriate monitoring schedule for follow-up careFits and manages hearing aids, bone conduction devices, cochlear implants, and assistive listening devicesCollaborates with multidisciplinary clinics, physicians, and other professionalsDocuments results accurately and makes recommendations based on findingsCounsels patients and caregivers to ensure understanding of hearing technology, availability of and access to support services, and other hearing healthcare needsParticipation in team meetings, quality improvement, and community outreachMaintains required CEU'sParticipates in quality improvement projects, program development initiatives, and/or clinical researchMentors studentsRequirementsDoctoral degree in Audiology through an accredited programBoard certification in Audiology (ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency or American Board of Audiology (ABA) Certificate)CPR certificationCurrent Washington State Audiology licenseMinimum one (1) year related experienceAbout Mary Bridge Children'sFor more than 70 years, MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network has cared for children and families across the South Sound. Anchored by an 82-bed pediatric hospital in Tacoma, Mary Bridge offers a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 24-hour pediatric-only Emergency Department and a state-designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.As a comprehensive pediatric health network, Mary Bridge delivers expert, family-centered care across inpatient, outpatient and specialty services, supported by multidisciplinary teams dedicated to the unique needs of every child and family we serve.Pay and Benefit ExpectationsWe provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $111,000.00 - $123,400.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
