Transportation Clerical Support Specialist Our client, a leading company in the food distribution and logistics industry, is seeking a Transportation Clerical Support Specialist for their Wichita, KS facility. This is a part-time, contract role supporting the Transportation department with clerical duties and regulatory compliance documentation. Contract Duration: Approx. 6 months (1,040 total hours) Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:00 AM 12:00 PM (subject to change based on business needs) Location: 1001 S Young St, Wichita, KS 67209 Travel: None required Interviews: Conducted in person Key Responsibilities: Organize customer orders and greet customers, verifying identification Provide and scan cases for each order Ensure proper signatures are obtained on paperwork or handheld devices Process return codes for orders not picked up at end of day Stage undelivered orders for returns shuttle Communicate order status to distribution center as needed Gather, organize, and process driver daily paperwork, logs, and manifests Maintain vehicle inspection documentation Maintain Driver Qualification files in compliance with DOT regulations Monitor driver logs and violations for regulatory compliance Answer phones, route calls, and take messages Required Qualifications: 0-3 years of relevant clerical or administrative experience Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Basic arithmetic skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable using handheld scanning devices About the Role: This position supports daily operations within a Transportation department, ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation regulations through accurate documentation and clerical support.
