Job Title Psychiatrist Job Requisition ID JR0000002669 Number of Openings 1 Shift Any (United States of America) Compensation Details $224,400 - $272,400 Job Description Job Summary This position is at Georgia Regional Hospital Atlanta We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care for individuals with behavioral health and developmental disabilities. This role involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management within a multidisciplinary team. Job Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic assessments and risk assessments, for individuals with behavioral health disorders and intellectual/developmental disabilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, and behavioral interventions. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring efficacy, side effects, and adherence. Provide ongoing psychiatric follow-up care, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on patient progress and clinical outcomes. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and direct care staff, to ensure integrated and holistic patient care. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and clinical rounds to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies. Document all clinical encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to established standards and regulations. Provide consultation and education to staff, patients, and families regarding psychiatric conditions and treatment options. Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and departmental regulations and policies regarding patient care, confidentiality, and professional conduct. Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with advancements in psychiatry, particularly in the areas of behavioral health and developmental disabilities. Job Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited psychiatric residency program. Board Certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or eligibility for board certification. Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in [State, if applicable, otherwise state \"the relevant jurisdiction\"]. Valid DEA registration. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or severe and persistent mental illness. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Commitment to providing person-centered, recovery-oriented care.
