Cloud DevSecOps Engineer

GAMA-1 Technologies is seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer to support the security, automation, and compliance of AWS cloud environments supporting mission‑critical federal systems. In this role, you will implement cloud‑native security controls, secure enterprise cloud workloads, and collaborate closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to strengthen security posture and operational resilience. This position is ideal for hands‑on cloud security engineers who enjoy working across AWS, automation, DevSecOps, and compliance‑driven environments. What You Will Do in This Role Implement and manage security controls across AWS cloud environments Support Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) and cloud automation initiatives Secure cloud workloads, APIs, storage, and networking components Support compliance and regulatory initiatives aligned with federal requirements Monitor vulnerabilities and support remediation efforts across enterprise environments Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve cloud security posture Support security tooling, logging, monitoring, and threat detection activities Help drive operational efficiency through automation and DevSecOps best practices Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands‑on AWS cloud security experience Experience securing cloud‑native architectures and AWS services Experience with IAM, KMS, Security Groups, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFormation, and encryption technologies Experience supporting DevSecOps or Infrastructure‑as‑Code initiatives Experience with security and vulnerability management tools such as Splunk, Nessus, Tenable, or enterprise firewalls Strong understanding of cloud security, risk mitigation, and compliance best practices Preferred Qualifications Federal government or regulated industry experience Experience supporting enterprise cloud modernization initiatives Experience with CI/CD security integration Certifications Must possess at least one of the following: CISSP CISM CISA CRISC CAP CGEIT Benefits GAMA-1 also offers a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) savings plan, training and career development opportunities, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO – to cover vacation, illness or disability, appointments, emergencies or other situations that require time off from work).
