Position: Retail Liquid Salesperson  (Reside in the Litchfield, Ct. County with available office in Winsted.)

Reports to: Sales Manager

Status: Salary Exempt, Full time

Yearly Salary - $75K - $100K (Salary plus Commission)

Position Summary

Mirabito Energy Products is seeking a motivated and results-driven Liquid Energy Sales Representative to join our growing team. This position is responsible for developing new residential and commercial heating oil, propane and distillate business opportunities, maintain strong customer relationships, and drive sales growth within assigned market areas. The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter with strong communication skills, sales experience, and knowledge of liquid energy products and commercial heating/cooling systems.

Essential Functions

• Develop and execute personal sales plans, strategies, and processes to achieve company sales goals and profitability objectives related to liquid energy sales.
• Negotiate and refine customer contracts and agreements.
• Service existing accounts while actively pursuing and developing new business opportunities.
• Organize and manage daily schedules to effectively meet with current and prospective customers.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, publications, networking, and industry organizations.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Travel regularly throughout assigned market areas and schedule overnight stays when necessary. Attend trade shows when needed within the market.

Responsibilities

• Generate leads and develop client referrals through networking and relationship-building activities.
• Schedule and conduct sales appointments.
• Maintain accurate sales activity records, customer pipeline reports, and sales forecasts.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.
• Present company products and services to prospective clients.
• Prepare and present sales proposals and contracts.
• Conduct product training when needed.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries by phone, electronically, or in person.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and follow-up.
• Perform quality checks on product and service delivery.
• Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends.
• Participate in sales events and maintain professional affiliations within the industry.
• Attend training seminars and company meetings as requested.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Previous sales experience preferred, ideally within the energy, fuel, HVAC, or related industries.
• Knowledge of liquid energy products and commercial heating/cooling systems is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with computers, presentations, and sales reporting systems.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout market areas, including occasional overnight travel.
• Reside in the Litchfield, Ct. County with available office in Winsted.

Work Environment

This position requires regular travel, customer site visits, and occasional overnight stays (for training). Candidates should be comfortable working independently while managing multiple accounts and priorities.
