Laborer and Material Handler Factory Team

Labor & Material Handlers are typically cross trained and rotated within the factory to perform various functions of the cabinet manufacturing process, such as cutting, sanding, painting, and assembly of wood material.  Join the Excel-lent Team!

Job Requirements/Duties Summary:

• Reliable and punctual attendance.
• Work overtime as required/scheduled.
• Maneuver material by hand up or down and to and from worktables or cutting equipment; and by cart within the factory to the next manufacturing process.
• Apply wood filler or putty.
• Measure and verify quality of finished wood pieces by visual inspection and comparison to templates or other finished products.
• Comply with safety rules and Company policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Identify and communicate material flaws such as color variances, wood grains, knotholes, cracks, and splits.
• Prepare material for painting/finishing operations.
• Paint or stain material
• Assemble cabinet boxes and drawers.
• Package finished boxes and drawers for delivery.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this job include the use of arms, hands, and fingers; standing and walking; bending and lifting; twisting; squatting; carrying; stretching forward and overhead; moving or pushing; and lifting/pushing up to 50 pounds. Vision demands include clarity and focus, distance perception, peripheral, and depth. Auditory demands include the ability to concentrate in the presence of distracting sounds.

Work environment: The work areas are not air-conditioned; the indoor and outdoor temperatures are the same. The noise level varies from low to high. You're around mechanical parts and machine vibrations; motorized equipment; compressed air; propane-powered forklifts; pallets and stacked material; cutters/saws; wood dust; cleaning solvents, etc.

4-Day Work Schedule:  Monday through Thursday

Shift Work Hours: 1st shift: 5am to 330pm, 10 hours, or 2nd shift: 330pm to 2am, 10 hours.

Obrero y Manipulador de Materiales Factoría  

Los manipuladores de mano de obra y materiales suelen recibir entrenamiento cruzada y ser rotados dentro de la fábrica para realizar diferentes funciones del proceso de fabricación de gabinetes, como cortar, lijar, pintar y ensamblar material de madera.  Únete al equipo de Excel-lencia!

Requisitos/Deberes del Trabajo Sumario

• Asistencia confiable y puntual.
• Trabajar horas extras como sea necesario/programado.
• Cumplir con las normas de seguridad y las políticas de la Compañía.
• Mantener un área de trabajo limpia y segura.
• Identifique y comunique los defectos del material, como variaciones de color, vetas de madera, nudos, y grietas.
• Preparar el material para los procesos de pintura/acabado.
• Pintar o esprayar material
• Ensamblar las cajas y cajones de los gabinetes.
• Empaquetar cajas y cajones ya terminados para entrega.
• Mover el material a mano hacia arriba o hacia abajo y desde las mesas de trabajo o al equipo de corte; y por carrito dentro de la fábrica hasta el siguiente proceso de fabricación
• Aplique masilla o masilla para madera.
• Medir y verificar la calidad de las piezas de madera terminadas atraves de inspección visual y la comparación con modelos o otros productos terminados.
