IT Project Manager

Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid)
Job Type: 6 – 12 month contract

Position Summary

ProTech currently seeks an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the implementation and migration of an enterprise software solution, with a preference for candidates who have worked with scheduling, routing, dispatching, field service management, transportation management, billing, or ERP systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing software migration projects from initiation through go-live and post-implementation support. This role requires a highly organized professional with exceptional follow-through, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to establish project timelines, manage deadlines, coordinate resources, and drive accountability across both internal teams and third-party vendors.

This is a hybrid position allowing for a combination of onsite and remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software implementation and migration.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Establish realistic deadlines and proactively manage project timelines.
• Coordinate resources from both company staff and external software vendor.
• Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status meetings, and executive updates.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
• Gather and document business requirements while ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Track project progress and hold stakeholders accountable for deliverables.
• Coordinate data migration, testing, training, and user adoption activities.
• Ensure successful integration with existing business systems and processes.
• Work closely with operations, finance, customer service, and IT teams to minimize business disruption during migration.
• Monitor project budgets and vendor performance.
• Create and maintain project documentation, status reports, and executive summaries.
• Lead post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT Project Management experience.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise software implementations or migrations.
• Experience coordinating both internal resources and third-party vendor teams.
• Strong project planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
• Proven track record of setting deadlines, driving accountability, and ensuring completion of project tasks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:

• Scheduling software

• Field Service Management platforms
• Billing or invoicing solutions
• ERP implementations

• Experience with software conversion and data migration projects.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or related project management certification.
• Familiarity with software integrations, APIs, and data mapping.
